2015 Critical Thinking Initiatives Colloquium Welcomes Dr. Terrel Rhodes to Campus!

On March 18 and 19, 2015, Florida State University welcomed Dr. Terrel Rhodes, Vice President for Quality, Curriculum, and Assessment at the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) to campus as part of the inaugural Critical Thinking Initiatives Symposium. . Dr. Rhodes led the effort to develop the Critical Thinking VALUE Rubric that plays an important role in FSU’s Quality Enhancement Plan, Think FSU: Improving Critical Thinking in the Disciplines.

During his time on campus, Dr. Rhodes led two calibration sessions in which he guided faculty members through the use of the VALUE Rubric as an assessment instrument for student work. Additionally, he presented on the history, underlying philosophy, and potential uses of the Critical Thinking VALUE Rubric in the Robert Bradley Reading Room in Strozier Library.
